Regatta II - DipCon XXXIV

The Immaculate Concession

At DipCon XXXIV, in Game 6 of Heat 3 (Saturday night), it seemed Edi Birsan as France could do no wrong, and the result was a concession to him at the conclusion of game-year 1904.

For his accomplishment, Edi received the "Mr. Christian Award" for best stab of the tournament.

Edi's most unfortunate victim, the player playing Italy -- who asked if he could remain anonymous on this page (but whose initials are Andy Marshall) -- received the "Captain Bligh Award."

Below is the chronology of this historic game, now known as "The Immaculate Concession." (Underlined moves indicate bounces.)
